On display: “Father of the Milky Way Railroad”, a costume film with Koji Yakusho this Thursday, January 16 at 8 p.m.; “Tea-Friends,” a comedy-drama about senior sexuality, Friday, January 17 at 6 p.m.; and “Tsugaru Lacquer Girl,” a magnificent melodrama about passing on craftsmanship to the younger generation, Saturday, January 18 at 8:30 p.m.
The three screenings will be followed by a discussion meeting with Pascal Alex Vincent, director, teacher at the Sorbonne and specialist in Japanese cinema. Also note a session open to school audiences with “The Solitary Castle in the Mirror”, an animated film on school bullying and the pain of the victims, Thursday January 16 at 9:30 a.m.
