From March 21 to 28, 2025, the Séries Mania festival will settle down in Lille. To attract series fans from around the world, a trailer has just been published on social networks using the codes of the successful American series Desperate Housewives, and with surprise guest: Marcia Cross.

A maroilles tart and Bree Van de Kamp in the same video? You are not dreaming, the organizers of the Lille Séries Mania festival have done it.
The trailer for the 2025 edition of the festival dedicated to series uses the codes of Desperate Housewivesthe successful American series from the 2000s which depicts the turbulent daily lives of four women: Susan Mayer, Lynette Savo, Gabrielle Solis and Bree Van de Kamp.
Wisteria Lane becomes Wisteria Lille, and the famous pastries concocted by Bree Van de Kamp and her colleagues take on ch’tis accents in Desperate Lillewives.
The trailer features Laurence Herszberg, director of the festival, disguised as Bree addicted to the series for the occasion. Accompanied by Frédéric Lavigne and the legendary voice of Françoise Cadol (Mary Alice Young in the series), she binge watch without moderation of television series, always a glass of Chardonnay in hand. So, when she learned that the Séries Mania festival was going to take place in the capital of Flanders, she decided to participate.
Desperate Lillwives uses the codes of Desperate Houswives.

To add a touch of humor to this short film, spectators can count on the surprise appearance of Tomer Sisley, in the role of the attractive neighbor, but also on Marcia Cross, the actress who played Bree Van de Kamp for more than of 10 years, to distil some precious advice to the Bree made in Lille.
This is not the first time that Séries Mania has had fun copying the codes of successful series. For the 2024 edition, it was Emily in Paris which had been diverted into Emily in Lille.
Written and directed by Léa Rouaud and Alex Ramirès, this humorous short film shows that “everything is allowed so as not to miss anything of this unmissable event“, describes the festival under its video.

Loyal to Séries Mania, Marcia Cross had already made the trip to Lille in 2023. The 2025 edition will be held from March 21 to 28, 2025 in the capital of Flanders and who knows, maybe she will return to the red carpet?
