The report on Anne, an interior decorator abused by a fake Brad Pitt for weeks, became a phenomenon in mid-January 2025. Broadcast in the show Seven to Eight on TF1 on Sunday January 12, 2025, this incredible story of a French woman who sent 830,000 euros to one or more scammers posing as the Hollywood star fascinated viewers and social networks.

The report has in fact not been found on the replay site of the first channel since January 14.
However, entire images and sequences from the report have been downloaded, copied, parodied, shared and re-shared on social networks for more than 48 hours, providing this story with an unprecedented sounding board. Many Internet users and influencers, from Instagram to TikTok to Facebook, have already mocked the supposed gullibility of Anne, a victim who explains in her testimony that she has already made several suicide attempts.
