The selection committee then debated whether to select the twelve who would be screened in Angoulême. “Documentary, fiction, animation… It had to be representative of the festival”, explain the students, who were also vigilant about the techniques used: sequence shot, stop motion, drawing… In total, seven countries are represented on the two evenings. But no Angoumois film, this year, in the selection of this 5e edition of “Courts d’écoles” (1).
“There is a fun aspect to this event, we enjoy seeing the films,” notes Camille. But it is also a good form of learning. It was the students themselves who organized the two evenings, the videoconferences with four directors, the buffets… “A sort of professional experience,” says Manon happily.
