The 2025 edition of the traditional start-of-year concert given by the intercommunality lyre made a positive impression.
Exceptional, high quality, varied, entertaining, the superlatives of the approximately 1,200 spectators who left the Olympia at the end of this Sunday afternoon were unanimously in the same direction.
Certainly while for several days, many Limoux residents have been meeting in various local associations around a cake to exchange greetings, the annual concert has remained in everyone’s minds.
In this context, while a certain media sphere is flooded with fleeting or even ephemeral information, it seems appropriate to return to a high-quality musical event.

In the established order, the audience was able to listen: Walking by Shostakovich; The adventures of mutt by John Williams; A Barrie North celebrationAndré Jutras; Paris Montmartrearranged by Toshio Mashima; Opening ofEgmont Ludvig Van Beethoven; Intermission; Country ball directed by Daniel Lassalle; An idyll J. Boucher; soloist Guy Robert (clarinet); The two cousins : polka for two trumpets E. Avon; soloists Jules Bouchou and Clément Brunet. Overture by Guillaume Tell Goachinio Rossini; Medley Anderson Leroy Anderson. Arrangement: Gilles Arcens. Hungarian march Hector Berlioz. A happy inclusion during the show was provided by the troupe of dancers Bal trap al païs of Espéraza and the MJC of Carcassonne. Thanks to these, a nostalgic and catchy note was present. Just like the extras, Alice, Marianne, Pierre-Antoine and Arnaud, taken on stage during an entertaining episode.
A soloist named Guy Robert
The moment of emotion which invaded Olympia is to be credited to the essential Guy Robert who left his conducting baton for a while in favor of Daniel Lassalle for a widely applauded clarinet solo. Also soloists, Jules Bouchou and Clément Brunet also received cheers from the public.
Ultimately, a beautiful moment and a great appetizer for a year 2025 which promises to be rich in musical events.
