The signing ceremony of the book “Nass El Ghiwane: lyrics and scores” by artist Abdelkrim Jamal and music teacher Arif Redouane Raifak will be held on Saturday at the Zénith de Paris. This work will be presented on the sidelines of an artistic evening hosted by the “Nass El Ghiwane Allal” troupe and the artists Najat Aâtabou and Mohamed Rissani, in homage to the legacy of more than half a century of the legendary group Nass El Ghiwane , indicates a press release from the organizers. The book published by the association “Lama for art and culture”, compiles the most famous songs of the group, translated into French and accompanied by paintings and musical scores, adds the same source, specifying that it is It is the fruit of a collaboration with the artist Mourad El Mahouri and the visual artist Mohamed Dakir. This work represents a documentary approach aimed at preserving the legacy of Nass El Ghiwane, while opening up to foreign cultures through the translation and composition of songs in an academic musical language in order to make this musical heritage accessible to all artists of the world, said Arif Redouane Raifak, quoted in the press release. Stressing the importance of academic musical study in order to promote this musical style and ensure its continuity, he noted that this publication will be followed by translations into several languages.
And to add that the “Nass El Ghiwane Allal” troupe will organize concerts and signing sessions in several European countries.
