In this second installment, the story takes place decades later, when the Deetz family faces a family tragedy and returns to Winter River. Still haunted by the memory of Beetlejuice, Lydia sees her life turned upside down when her daughter Astrid, a rebellious young teenager, accidentally opens a portal to the afterlife. An unfortunate incident which disrupts the balance between the two worlds and gives way to a series of adventures, including the great return of Beetlejuice, who reappears more determined than ever to sow chaos and discord…
An exceptional casting for the sequel to Beetlejuice
This new opus offers a remarkable cast worthy of the ambitious sequel imagined by Tim Burton. We notably find the presence of emblematic actors from the first film such as Michael Keaton (Batman, The Founder) who reprises his role as Beetlejuice. He returns here with a totally crazy and inhabited interpretation, like his first performance. Another face that we know well is that of Winona Ryder (Stranger Things, The Haunted Mansion), who once again slips into the shoes of Lydia Deetz, accompanied by Catherine O’Hara (Mom, I missed the plane!, The Addams Family) in the role of his mother Delia. New figures come to enrich this casting with the young actors Jenna Ortega (Mercredi, Scream) and Arthur Conti, who play Astrid Deetz and Jeremy respectively.
