The Record Exchange is back in the Bourse this Sunday
It has attracted music fans, vinyl collectors and other CD lovers for… 30 years! The Strasbourg Record Exchange returns to the Bourse this Sunday, January 12. Some 200,000 vinyls and CDs will be offered for sale there.
It has existed for 30 years and has continued to break attendance records ever since! Resisting everything – even Covid –, adapting to circumstances as well as changes in location, the Record Exchange returns to Strasbourg this Sunday, January 12. After passing through the Wacken and being relocated to the Market Hall, it is the Bourse hall which will once again welcome around thirty exhibitors from France and Germany.
From 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., some 200,000 vinyl records and CDs – “the largest choice in the Grand Est! », proudly recalls its founder and organizer, Pierre Steinmetz – will be offered to enthusiasts, some of whom come from very far away, including across the Rhine. Metal, progressive rock, jazz, French variety, electronic music, blues, salsa… All musical tastes are in the nature of the event! Best of the Doors in limited edition, collection of jazz records from the 70s/80s, rarities made by Guns N’Roses or Bon Jovi, maxi 45s taking you straight into the 1980s, good music at all prices; fans should not be disappointed!

Comedian Hakim Jemili presents his new show “Tired” at the PMC

The second edition of the Conservatory Festival
The Strasbourg Conservatory is organizing its music, dance and theater festival from January 10 to 18 for the second consecutive year at the Cité de la musique et de la danse. Free and open to all, the event celebrates the artistic diversity of the institution.
“With more than twenty performances bringing together music, dance and theater, the Strasbourg Conservatory Festival defends the plurality of artistic horizons and promotes collaborative experiences between the driving forces of our great institution,” believes Alexandre Jung, its director.
From January 10 to 18, the second edition of this free event open to all, which aims to highlight all of the school’s resources, will take place in the Cité de la musique et de la danse. Friday, for the opening evening, the young concert band of the Conservatory will perform at 7 p.m. in the auditorium, followed at 8:30 p.m. by a “modern ball” in the orchestra room. The opportunity to learn a few steps with a choreographer and enjoy a festive atmosphere, without judgment or search for performance.
Saturday January 11, time for the theatrical world of composer Georges Aperghis (at 5 p.m.) and a “multipianos” program (at 7 p.m.). Sunday 12 will be dedicated to family shows, with the Fugue in the orchestra at 11 a.m., followed by a Little Musical Theater at 2 p.m., the Carnival of the Animals at 5 p.m. and a film concert at 7 p.m.
The festival continues until January 18, between percussion, baroque music, lyric recital, jazz, theater, operetta and karaoke!
