It’s the first show of the year in the cultural season of the Clisson area and luckily, it’s not yet sold out!
Tuesday January 14, at the Bellevue space in Gétigné, the two artists from the Stereoptik Company will present “Antichambre”, a work at the crossroads of the arts which combines cartoons, stop motion, painting, object theater and music. Enough to mix audiences, cultures, ages…
From creation to viewing
This musical film immerses spectators in the creative process of an animated film which will be presented at the end.
How do ideas emerge? How are they evolving? During this permanent transformation, characters appear, a setting takes shape, a poetic, dreamlike and sometimes funny story takes shape…
On either side of the stage, a drawing table and musical instruments. Behind, on a cinema screen, what is created on the table is projected.
On the chords of a guitarin close-up, as close as possible to the material, a sketch takes shape, an eraser emerges then erases it, a charcoal sketch follows…
As the show progresses, the musical theme becomes clearer, the visual processes and manipulations are enriched with narrative elements from the film: unfolding scenery, animated sequence, manipulation of silhouettes, etc.
Up to you !
As a precursor to this show, the Gétigné library is organizing an introductory workshop on animated cinema, in partnership with the Makiz’Art association. The opportunity to create your own cartoon in cut-out paper and Chinese shadow using the stop-motion technique. Aimed at all audiences (from 6 years old), it will take place this Saturday, January 11, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The session is free upon registration with the library by email at [email protected] or by telephone at 02 40 36 13 96.
Make emotions speak
The artist duo Romain Bermond and Jean-Baptiste Maillet, both visual artists and musiciansbuilt this show around emotions, far from this “society of truncated and remodeled images with the aim of highlighting certain facets of our personality and hiding others”.
On stage, they imagine a world where the first thing you see when you meet someone is their feelings, their sensations, their emotions. “There is no facial feature, no handsome, not so handsome, haircuts, trendy clothes or anything else. Just the emotions,” they reveal their intentions.
Through a plastic and visual process, all the protagonists of “Antichambre” are silhouettes crossed by colors, paint in movement, graphic materials expressing their emotions.
Know to feel
At the very end of the show, the projection of the film puts all the scenes into perspectiverevealing both the pictorial and scriptural choices made by the artists. An intimacy is woven between the spectators and the film because they know its journey, from the first stroke of the pencil, the first stroke of the eraser until the end credits. It’s the magic of the intimate. Emotions.
