Rue Emile-Sentini welcomes a brand new clothing boutique straight from our Italian neighbors.

Amati Semper, at 6 rue Emile-Sentini, is the creation of two cousins, Deborah D’Avino and Anna Capasso, la dolce vita in the heart of . Andiamo!

“It all started on a whim,” laughs Anna. “My cousin is currently a student in Agen, passionate about fashion and clothing. For me, business is something completely new, or almost. Before, I worked in restaurants. We come from a family of restaurateurs.”

Nothing to do with Anna, but the headbutt acted as a revelation. “We were at home, Deborah was looking for pants on the Internet, which cost 70 euros. For pants, we found them excessive, so we decided to wait until a trip to Italy to buy them. We often waited to to go there to find clothes that interested us… At that, she said to me “what if we started our own business?” We went for it!

Friends meeting

The two cousins make it a point of honor to offer their merchandise at affordable prices. “We saw really very expensive clothes in certain stores in Agen center,” continues Anna. “When we started our business three months ago, we wanted our prices to be accessible for all budgets.”

Coats for 45 euros, shoes for 25 euros, blazer-trouser sets, large comfortable sweaters, more formal outfits, small bags and jewelry… Changing the collection every two weeks, Deborah and Anna offer a whole range for women, and are preparing to create a space for men. “And maybe, later, a children’s corner. But we’ll wait and see how things develop. The clothes and shoes come from Italy, and we’re still working with suppliers to put everything in place.”

For their business, Anna and Deborah wanted a very Italian atmosphere. “There, it’s not the same style of work as in . The salespeople are very close to their customers, they know them by their first name, it’s a bit like a meeting place for friends.” To best reflect this friendly atmosphere, the cousins will also offer facial treatment sessions, in partnership with a beautician, accessible after 40 euros of purchases. “And we organized a parade on Christmas Eve, with music and drinks. We hope to repeat this type of event!”
