The matter is still serious if we consider the news of the day: Amazon paid the colossal sum of 40 million dollars to obtain the license for the film which will be broadcast on the Amazon Prime Video streaming platform, by middle of the year.
Melania Trump will be one of the executive producers of the project, according to the site Puck News, which however could not know what share of the 40 million dollars will go to her. The documentary, which began filming in December, will be directed by Bruce Rattner (Rush Hour), who was relegated to obscurity for several years after allegations of sexual misconduct were made against him by six actresses at the height of the #metoo movement.
Amazon, whose big boss, Jeff Bezos, is accused of genuflecting to Donald Trump, competed with Disney and Paramount to obtain the rights to the documentary. According to the New York PostDisney ruled that the license for the documentary on Melania Trump was worth no more than $14 million.
