The municipality of Grenade (Haute-Garonne) is offering a new free exhibition “Meraki, in the workshop of Julia-N. Bock” from January 11 to March 1, around the work and world of Julia-N. Bock, illustrator for almost 20 years. “Meraki”: to do something with your soul, with creativity, or with love, putting something of yourself into what you create. It is with this Greek word that Julia-N. Bock, who is also a visual arts teacher, wanted to title her exhibition, intended as a total immersion in her graphic design workshop, the laboratory of her artistic experiments.

“I have always felt very strongly the need to create. It is a permanent ferment which absolutely must be expressed, particularly in my research for my courses,” explains the artist, who founded his workshop Designers in bud in 2011. In addition to his sources of inspiration, you will be able to discover in this exhibition his personal works, mixtures of drawing, different printing techniques, collages but also sculptures, plates from his book for young people MamaFox, or even his work of order like show posters.

In addition to the exhibition, drawings and paintings by students who have followed various visual arts courses with Julia-N. Bock, in Launac and Grenade, will be exhibited in the library.

In February, the artist will lead three mixed-media graphic creation workshops, to create gel plate prints. For teenagers and adults aged 15 and over, Saturday February 1 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For ages 6 to 10, Wednesday February 5 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. For ages 10 to 14, Wednesday 12 February from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
