Enter the year 2025 without getting bored. Sporting and cultural events, competitions, open-air cinema, visits… an overview of the activities planned for this first week of the year.
- “Family movie nights”, the Robot Sauvage, at the Cinédrive-in du Mont-Dore on Friday January 3, at 6:15 p.m. A coloring workshop will also be offered.
- Vaiana 2 at the Cinédrive-in du Mont-Dore, Saturday January 4, 2025, at 7:15 p.m. The drive-in will open at 6:15 p.m. On the program: a photobooth, a coloring workshop and a Tahitian dance show, then a viewing of the hit film.
- At the Cinécity in Nouméa, the opera TOSCA directed by David McVicar will be screened on the big screen on Sunday January 5, 2025, at 4:30 p.m.
- Senior session with the film about photographer and reporter Lee Miller, Tuesday January 7, 2025, at Cinécity in Nouméa, at 3 p.m. The place is 600 francs, for over 60s only.
- Gladiator 2 (prohibited for under 12s), at the Foa cinema, Wednesday January 8, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- The BNC Tennis Open continues until January 4, 2025, at 6 p.m. It’s at the Marie Louis Thuillier tennis complex, at Ouen-Toro, in Nouméa.
- In Padel, a mixed Americano tournament takes place on Thursday January 9, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Receiving tennis club. A team tournament of 4 with 2 men and 2 women. Each team meets each of the other teams once. Registration opens Thursday January 2 at 12:00 p.m.
- Holiday course in the town of Mont-Dore, from January 6 to February 7, 2025, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Plum sports hall and the Victorin-Boewa cultural and sports complex, in Boulari. On the program: horse riding, mountain biking, va’a, basketball, cricket, Tahitian dance and football. Information at 43.26.69.
- Free summer course for children aged 7 to 15 in Dumbéa-sur-mer and Dumbéa nord, from January 6 to February 7. On the program: sporting and cultural activities around the theme “Dumbéa and its twin towns”. Information at 80.89.83 or 93.57.43.
- Pictum animation at the House of Biodiversity, in Nouméa, on Saturday January 4, 2025. Discover the different species of fish from the Great Reef, using a touch terminal.

An “American’s secret” escape game at Foa, at the Heritage House. An immersive escape game, to immerse yourself in the Second World War. Two dates are planned this weekend and during the week: Saturday January 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesday January 8, at the same times.
- Immerse yourself in the history of Camp Brun with a guided tour of the site, located between Boulouparis and Foa on Sunday January 5, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and Wednesday January 8, at the same times. Reservations required at 44.32.71.
- Conference on medicinal plants at Fazen, in Bourail, Monday January 6, 2025. It will be hosted by Lorie Gavin, naturopath, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Special dinosaur tales and nature, still at the Maison de labiodiversité, in Nouméa, on Wednesday January 8, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- The Artistic Games exhibition, which highlights street art, is extended at Château Hagen, in Nouméa, until February 15, 2025. It combines street art, pop culture and mythological dimensions. And signed by three artists: Lulla, Kuby Kolor and Rick Pringles. Entrance is free.
