At 10 boulevard Gambetta, Yan and Cathy Ibanez created the restaurant “Samigiri” as a family. Dedicated to quality, homemade Asian street food, the brand offers you the opportunity to enjoy exotic dishes on the go or while taking your time in an atypical “kawai” (“cute” in Japanese) inspired decor.
For weeks, passers-by on Boulevard Gambetta wondered what this pink sign was that was about to open its doors. At the end of December 2024, the suspense is coming to an end: “Samigiri”, a creation of the Narbonne entrepreneur couple Yan and Cathy Ibanez, is ready to delight fans of Asian street food. “This is a family business and a new professional challenge,” we explain. She is of Laotian origin and is keen to pass on her gastronomic heritage. He is passionate about cooking, a gourmet and an entrepreneur at heart. It was by drawing inspiration from their various trips to Asia that the couple decided to open “Samigiri” at 10 boulevard Gambetta.
Here, you can taste culinary classics from various Asian countries, on the go or taking your time, on site or to take away, with chopsticks or with a fork. On the menu, we find specialties such as a range of Japanese onigiri, Vietnamese pho soups, traditional dishes renamed pork with caramel “ousebon”, beef with onions “tamaneji”, coconut curry shrimp “kokonatsu”
The “Samigiri” restaurant also has a photo booth where you can take fun poses with crazy props. Also coming up are karaoke evenings, video games and speed dating.
“Samigiri” is open Monday to Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can also place an order by clicking on https://app.eatself.com/3862/accueil
