At the Château de Sully-sur-Loire, there are many activities at the end of the year. With the company Galoches de Farfadets, the magic of Christmas was present from Tuesday December 24, thanks to a lovely tale performed in the lower room.
The story which captivated many children took the public to the White Country where Santa Claus, stuck at the bottom of a crevasse, was waiting to be rescued. So as not to miss anything of this story in gestures and songs, many children crowded to the edge of the stage, as close as possible to the two actors. The hundred chairs planned were not enough to accommodate the families and the summer center of the community of communes of Val de Sully.
Original visits every day until December 31
But between now and Tuesday December 31, the last day of the year, other activities will also be offered by the castle’s entertainment team who have put together a program full of discoveries.
First of all, thanks to the notebook illustrated by the artist Anaïs Groisy, it is a dreamlike journey from room to room that curious spectators will be able to take during a visit to the castle, which will allow them to follow the adventures of Mahaut de Béthune child, every day until December 31.
Sunday, December 29, a costumed guide will take the public on a stroll. It will be possible to discover, alongside the history of the castle, medieval gastronomy for a nice appetizer before New Year’s Eve. The opportunity to taste some medieval specialties.
Finally, this special program will end with a festive workshop on December 31, which will allow young and old alike to learn how to make baubles for the tree.
