Washington can thank its French
While they remained on two consecutive defeats (against the Bucks 112-101 and against the Thunder 123-105), the Wizards, last in the Eastern Conference, won last night at home against the Hornets (113-110 ). This is Washington’s fifth victory of the season. After having a 21-point lead in the second quarter, the Wizards saw this gap melt like snow in the sun but ultimately won by a short head. With 25 points, Jordan Poole was able to guide his team to success just like the French Bilal Coulibaly (20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists) and Alexandre Sarr (15 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist). For Charlotte, LaMelo Ball stood out by scoring 31 points.
the Thunder as leader
Currently leader of the Western Conference, the Thunder won against the Pacers (114-120). With a double-double, Isaiah Hartenstein (11 points and 13 rebounds) also contributed to his team’s success. For the Pacers, the good performances of Andrew Nembhard (23 points) and Pascal Siakam (22 points) were not enough.
Herro offers the Florida derby to the Heat
The Heat won with a short header on the Orlando floor (88-89). The difference was made at the last second thanks to a shot from Tyler Herro, who also scored 20 points throughout the match. For Orlando, Jalen Suggs shone with his 29 points scored but it was not enough to tip the scales in his favor.
Grizzlies crush Raptors
The Grizzlies, currently third in the Western Conference, upheld their status against the Raptors by inflicting a severe defeat (155-126). Both authors of a double-double, Jaren Jackson Jr. (21 points and 11 rebounds) and Zach Edey (21 points and 16 rebounds) were the key men in this very open meeting.
