On December 14, 2024, Angélique Angarni-Filopon, Miss Martinique, was elected Miss France 2025 after several weeks of competition. A victory for the young woman aged 34, who thus becomes the first thirty-year-old to win the crown: “No, it’s never too late, and I’m proof!“, she confided in the columns of Gala on December 19, 2024.

Since her victory, Angélique Angarni-Filopon has continued interviews. This time, it’s in the columns of Public on newsstands on December 27, 2024 that the latter spoke about her coronation, but also about her dreams. And would television be one of its objectives? Not so sure… While our colleagues questioned her about her taste for cooking, Miss France 2025 indulged in a few confidences: “I sometimes make good meals, especially salads. I like it, but I wouldn’t do Top Chef either!“? she first said. Subsequently, the young woman finally changed her mind: “Unless I’m asked to be on the jury. And it’s even better if it’s The Best Pastry Chef.”
“I did what was necessary to…”: Angélique Angarni-Filopon’s confidences about her career
It must be said that television is an environment very far from Angélique Angarni-Filopon’s profession. A flight attendant by profession, she graduated in 2017, but did not jump straight into her dream career. “I then took a year off to travel, then I found a permanent job in insurance. And when I was going to go back to flying, it was Covid, so I stayed there for two and a half years. (…) We couldn’t fly during this period, so I did what I had to before resigning and returning to the airline industry.“A resilience that she says she inherits from her mother:”Even before his cancershe was already very strong“? she confided to Public. “Among the West Indians, we don’t tell each other what to do, we rather observe. When I was little, she often told me as a joke the proverb ‘Chyen pa ka fé chat’, which means that dogs don’t make cats.“? she added.
