Châteauneuf-Val-de-Bargis. Discover the world of Chantal Thévenin. Chantal Thévenin loves art, color, movement, and also, with this series of paintings, mystery.
This is what the visitor discovers in his exhibition at the Attribut. Eight paintings are presented, with a very often dreamlike universe where each and every one will discover and decipher very personal visions.
Mastery of techniques
The colors obtained with different techniques are most often saturated, especially with the use of tempera, in which the binder is an emulsion containing substances such as egg. Uses of the knife, the brush, the scraping, demonstrating a technical mastery very well assured by the artist.
It is a very personal universe, an imagination of silhouettes, shapes, deep colors, which does not leave one indifferent and which questions.
For thirteen years, Chantal, a former teacher, participated in the dance sketch sessions of Josiane Benzi's association. “This taught me, among other things, the sense of movement, which is very useful in my compositions,” explains Chantal.
