Laurent Ruquier celebrates a decade at the head of Big Heads, the emblematic RTL show. This program continues to appeal to a large audience, with more than 14 million podcast listens. This exclusive interview closes a series in which many personalities from the show shared their memories with Laurent Ruquier, showing affection and respect for the 61-year-old man.
It all started in 2014, when Laurent Ruquier succeeded Philippe Bouvardemblematic figure of radio, who brought The Big Heads at the top for almost 37 years. On August 25 of that same year, Laurent Ruquier hosted this cult show for the first time. He is surrounded by personalities like Pierre Bénichou, Bernard Mabille, Marcela Iacub, Laurent Baffie, Caroline Diamant, and Florian Gazan. That day, an immediate chemistry was established with the Grosses Têtes, an element that he considered essential to the success of the program.
Laurent Ruquier's first broadcast marks the start of a new era. As evidenced by his first words to Big Heads : “Count on me so that the 'Big Heads' will make you laugh and cultivate you for a very long time.” But does he remember his first steps 10 years later?

Resumption of the show was a real challenge for Le Havrewho had long harbored ambitions to lead this program. From his first words on the red microphone, a slight laugh escapes: “I had forgotten this introduction”. Laurent Ruquier relives this moment with emotion: “And yes, it's a birthday. It's funny to me because it was a very beautiful day of my life.”
This flashback is reminiscent of the film Reminiscence to the facilitator. Directed by Lisa Joy in 2021, the character played by Hugh Jackman revisits his memories using immersive technology. “It’s not so simple a question to say, well, let’s choose five moments in my life that I would like to relive.” He explains, drawing a parallel with his first broadcast at the Big Heads : “That's a moment I wish I could relive, and you're making me relive it.”
