For this weekend we have already told you about the event match between Tours and Lorient in the Coupe de France, the program of the Le Soleil winter tavern (partner of Info Tours) or the first truffle markets. What else for the start of the school holidays? Here is the answer with our ideas for outings until December 22…
Christmas markets… For the first time, the Domaine de la Trigardière d’Ambillou is organizing an event to help you find gifts. It’s Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on this site located near Amboise, on the edge of a 1,300 hectare forest estate. There you will find local artisans, creative workshops for children to make their own decorations and a refreshment stand. FREE ENTRANCE.
Not far from there, Amboise also has a Christmas market. It will be Saturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at St Florentin church (inside and outside). At the same time, there will be the friendship and solidarity market at the Francis Poulenc village hall during these two days from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Finally, the opportunity to discover the unique holiday decorations at the Amboise Museum of Art and History. It is accessible all weekend.
Christmas is also about “ugly” sweaters… Two evenings to exhibit yours:
- This Friday from 7 p.m. at the Le Jaja bar near the Halles de Tours
- Or from 7:30 p.m. with the offbeat Christmas evening at the La P’tite Maiz’ taproom in Notre-Dame-d’Oé. With DJ set and happy hour if you come with your wool party outfit
And then in Tours, the bar Le Super 9 (Rue du Commerce) is having a Christmas evening on Saturday. But in rock mode. Blind tests for purists, quizzes designed for fans of forgotten nuggets, crazy games, and gifts to be won from 7:30 p.m.
Concert… Friday from 8 p.m., head to Le Quartier in Tours-Nord to see the indie rock show by Anna Joe and Second Major, coming from Lyon. Anna Joe offers a new sound world with multiple faces which she defines as a mix between Indie Rock and Shadow Pop. A universe that is at once dark, sensitive and mysterious. Second Major combines DIY know-how, a rhythm section locked in “repeat” mode, and absorbing melodies for a dive into the rawest emotions. Free price with compulsory consumption.
DJ evening… The 100% female collectives Dirty Crew and Club Sauvage are organizing their 3e fiesta Aquabionic Experience. First stop at the Bateau Ivre de Tours, Rue Edouard Vaillant, before continuing from midnight and until 6 a.m. at the Red Club. Reservations are made here.
Solidarity concert… The Touraine group Volo is at the Espace Jacques Villeret des Fontaines this Friday at 8:30 p.m. and it is an event for the benefit of the association La Table de Jeanne-Marie, based in Febvotte and which distributes meals or food aid to the most deprived. Entrance is free. The entire profit will go to solidarity.
Exposition… From this Friday, the Château de Tours welcomes the 2e part of the artistic cycle linked to the 250 years of the School of Fine Arts. After an exhibition by the students, here is that of emerging artists called Our youth. Here is the list of artists presenting works: Thomas CARRÈRE, Nikolas CHASSER SKILBECK, Bonnie COULY, Rolan DROPSY, Florent GAY, Cécile HARTMANN, David KIDMAN, Marie LIBEROS, Gaëtan MORÉO, Thierry MOUILLÉ, Diego MOVILLA, Charlotte OUDOT & Chloé GOUZERH, Nicolas TERRASSON, Vincent VOILLAT, Cyril ZARCONE.
