Ce weekend of December 21 and 22, 2024place at the magic of yesteryear who will invite himself to the Carneville estate (Manche), for the 3e edition of “Christmas at the castle, the call of light”.

A celebration of Christmas magic focused on solstice d’hiver and the traditions ancestrales vikings linked to the Yule festival.

A magical show

In the Nordic folklorethe Yule festival plays a crucial role. This celebration, which marks the winter solstice, is rich in symbols and traditions. This festival symbolizes the light and warmth of the returning sun. It is lit to warm the coldest night of the year.

This holiday marks the shortest day and longest night of the year. It is therefore a magical show that the team of château de Carneville, helped by many volunteers, is about to be highlighted just a few days before Christmas.

A magical show on the program in the interiors of the castle and in the courtyards of the estate which was built according to an astronomical plan. The sun sets in perfect alignment on the main avenue, crosses the two courtyards and comes to pass through the central pavilion of the castle.
