Aude Picault is the Grande Trissoue of the 11th edition of Delémont BD. This is an announcement made this Thursday via a press release. In 2025, the French author will unveil her new album “Moi je, quarantine”, a story inspired by social and societal norms. “After the disappointments and worries in love, the unsuccessful job searches, or the sometimes ineffective advice from those around her, Aude Picault, in “Me je quarantine”, looks subtly at routine. A sort of modern Metro, work, sleep where the search for time for oneself and letting go seem almost unattainable,” explains the Delémont’BD press release.

Aude Picault is a French comic strip artist and scriptwriter born in 1979. In her works, she addresses human relationships, intimate stories, but also music and travel. She expresses her perplexity about everyday life with a refined drawing style. At the beginning, the French author published “Moi je” in 2005 which would be followed by “Moi je et cætera” and she got noticed by pre-publishing the column “Eva JF is looking for desperately”, in the weekly “Voilici” between 2006 and 2008. At the same time, she wrote a book after her father’s suicide. During this same period, she produced several albums of children’s literature for Kaléidoscope.

Change in the organization

Romain Migy, president of the organizing committee since 2017, has decided to leave his position at the end of September. He will be replaced by Delémontaine Jessy Gigandet. Currently, she is president of the Culture Commission of the city of Delémont. She will take office on January 1, 2025.

Note that the event will be held from June 13 to 15 for its festive section. “The drawing gardens” will be installed in the old town of Delémont from June 6 to August 10. /comm-lge
