Alexandre Astier has revealed the release date for the sequel to the cinematic saga inspired by his successful series.

After three years of silence, Alexandre Astier gave news of the second part of Kaamelottwhich will be divided into two films. He also revealed a release date and two new photos from the feature film.

“A little message in passing since the filming of Kaamelott – Second Part [parties 1 & 2] which ends soon. See you in theaters on October 22, 2025 for the first of the two films. Kisses,” he wrote on the film’s official account.

Kaamelott 2 is in production”, Olivier Henrard, the interim president of the National Cinema Center, revealed last September during his back-to-school press conference.

The filming took place in the greatest secrecy. The team was notably spotted last summer in the Jumilhac castle in Dordogne, according to information from Blue.

“Even bigger”

Released in 2021, in the middle of a pandemic, Kaamelott – Volume 1 had met with great success, with 2.6 million entries. The second part will be divided into two parts which will be released “four/five months” apart, Alexandre Astier revealed in March 2022 in the show In Aside.

Alexandre Astier declared in 2022 at the microphone of Mister Culture that he was going to “try to go even bigger” with the sequel. In Dailyin 2021, Astier had been just as mysterious: “I’m going to go where I can go, that is to say, by surprising.”

When the first film was released, Alexandre Astier told BFMTV want to make a second part more heroic fantasy than the first: “It should, yes. In any case, that’s the goal of the trilogy game.”

Written, produced and directed by Alexandre Astier, Kaamelott – First Part takes place ten years after the events recounted in the series. We find a depressed Arthur, refusing to regain his throne now held by Lancelot.
