“We don’t have the right to talk politics”: Miss Corsica looks back on her big moment of loneliness during the final

Stella Vangioni, aka Miss Corsica, made her mark on Saturday evening during the final of the Miss 2025 election. A question on climate change literally left her speechless.

On Saturday evening, Miss Corsica was confronted with a major question asked by Micheline Beaurain, Miss France 1970: “As Miss France, how would you use your voice to raise awareness among the French about the challenges linked to climate change?”

Visibly taken by surprise, the young woman remained frozen: an attitude that made the audience smile. Jean-Pierre Foucault, as mischievous as ever, commented: “The question is appreciated by the public.”

A long, awkward silence and a few hesitant smiles later, Miss Corsica finally spoke: “Good evening, thank you for this question. You know, like many things in life, I think it all starts with education. It is through education that we can raise awareness among younger generations about this subject, which is so important because we only have one planet. Let’s preserve it, we are not alone, thank you.”

In an interview with “Corse Matin”, Stella Vangioni returned to this moment which went viral: “It was not easy, because we are not allowed to talk about politics. I wanted to avoid giving simplistic advice like ‘Sort carefully’ or ‘Don’t buy fast fashion’. For me, it all starts with education.”

Despite this moment of solitude, Miss Corsica finished in 3rd place in the competition, behind Miss France 2025 Angélique Angarni-Filopon and Sabah Aïb, Miss -Pas-de-.
