For the last concert of his tour, Friday evening, December 13, 2024, Hugues Aufray covered Océanis with a great veil of emotions and energy. Accompanied by his musicians, he offered a varied repertoire for two hours, alternating between standards and new songs from his latest album “Autoportrait”.
“Are there any sailors in the room?” »
As soon as he arrives on the Ploemeur scene, for the last date of his tour, we do not imagine that the artist is 95 years old. During the show, he speaks, recounts the origin of his songs, his friendship with Dylan, and offers some thoughts on society and today’s world. The audience is on board thanks to “L’épervier”, “Stewball”, “Céline” but also “La Matilda”, a moving song from his latest album, or “Dan Tucker”, with bluegrass accents.
After around twenty titles, Hugues Aufray calls out to the 900 spectators: “Here, we are in Brittany, are there any sailors in the room? » The answer bursts out: “Yes! » “So everyone get up and we’ll board for Santiano! » The audience gets up and, with boundless energy and obvious complicity, begins to sing this timeless hit. The concert ended with a beautiful tribute to Brassens with his title “La prayer”.
