Through the masterpieces of this mythical civilization which spans three millennia and fascinates all generations, immerse yourself in Egypt in the times of the pharaohs! The new exhibition of Pools of Lights de invites you to travel along the Nile from Friday February 21, 2025.

The formidable history of ancient Egypt is intertwined with the powerful pharaohs who ruled the unified kingdom of Upper and Lower Egypt. The monumental sculptures of sovereigns whose names resonate in history continue to fascinate us: Khafre, Hatshepsut, Tuthmosis III, Akhenaten and Nefertiti… The banks of the Nile, from temples to palaces, from tombs to pyramids, still bear the traces left by these legendary kings and queens.

The valleys of kings and queens

Across Egypt there are several hundred temples dedicated to multiple deities. From Luxor to Abu Simbel, these imposing complexes are cultural, spiritual, economic and political centers, where life and death are celebrated in large processions. This new immersive exhibition of the Bassins des Lumières also takes you to the Valley of the Kings which houses the famous tomb of Tutankhamun. The Valley of the Queens also contains pure wonders, such as the tomb of Nefertari. So many mythical monuments which will be revealed and come to life on the walls of the Bordeaux submarine base in dazzling colors.
