And in the end, the superheroes win! On Sunday, TF 1 topped the evening’s audiences with the first free-to-air broadcast of “Black Adam”. This film from the DC Comics universe, directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and starring Dwayne Johnson, Aldis Hodge and Pierce Brosnan, attracted 3.25 million viewers on average until 11:10 p.m., according to Médiamétrie.
The market share of the entire public aged 4 and over in front of their television set is 18%. It climbs to 27.6% among women responsible for purchases under 50 (FRDA-50), the preferred target of advertisers. A good evening for the headlines in terms of advertising revenue.
France 2 at the foot of the podium, behind M 6
France 3 follows with 2.67 million fans of “Vera Investigations” with Brenda Blethyn on average for the first episode in rebroadcast until 10:35 p.m., or 13.5% of the public. The British series attracted a mainly older audience with only 3.1% of the FRDA-50. Surprise in third place where M 6 beats France 2 hands down thanks to “Capital”, Julien Courbet’s magazine. The survey on inexpensive end-of-year festive meals attracted 2.28 million consumers, or 12.2% of the overall public (and a very good 20.1% of the FRDA-50).
France 2 is therefore at the foot of the podium with the first broadcast of “Le Tourbillon de la vie”, a French drama by Olivier Treiner with Lou de Laagence, Raphaël Personnaz and Isabelle Carré. Only 1.85 million people got carried away by this story against the backdrop of the fall of the Berlin Wall (10.1% of the overall public).
Arte is not far behind with a new broadcast of “La main au collet”. 1.51 million moviegoers saw or rewatched this technicolor thriller by Alfred Hitchcock with Cary Grant and Grace Kelly, filmed on the Côte d’Azur (7.8%). France 5 follows with “Bashar, the master of chaos”, a documentary which exceeds the mark of 700,000 viewers (3.6%) and is ahead of TMC, C8, TFX and 6ter.
