Benjamin Brillaud, aka Nota Bene, will give a conference on representations of the Middle Ages in video games. Between historical facts and creative freedoms, this intervention will question the place of the medieval in our virtual universes and decipher the attraction it exerts on video game creators.

The Fête des Remparts will also welcome Fanny Cohen Moreau from Passion Médiévistes for the public recording of a special episode with, as guests, young researchers, in master’s or thesis from the Grand Ouest, who will present their work on the Middle Age and medievalism.

William Blanc: Robin Hood, conferences and role-playing games

Historian and recognized author, William Blanc will coordinate the 2025 conference cycle. He will also present his latest research on the evolution of the image of Robin Hood in popular culture, on the occasion of the publication of his new work published by Libertalia editions.

Role-playing game enthusiasts will not be left out: William Blanc will host an afternoon of initiation and discovery around role-playing games on Friday July 18, and in particular his brand new Sherwoodian role-playing game. For role-players: a call for participation will be broadcast very soon on the association’s networks.
