A journey to the borders of opera and cinema. Between towers of song and captivating colors the staging punctuated with special effects, the Journey to the Moon is a galactic and burlesque epic. That of a prince in love with a princess met in space.

A burlesque intergalactic epic with a staging punctuated by special effects. “It is excessively visual, corporeal. These are very strong images, very grotesque characters with enormous costumes who are there to sketch silhouettes which are not plausible but so enormous allow us to look at things in real life”, explains Olivier Fredj, director.

A discovery of the other, of the stranger. Hailed by the public.

The show adapted from the work of Offenbach, who also traveled, was to be performed for the first time in Montpellier in 2020. A program thwarted by Covid.

This magical adaptation can be discovered for Christmas at the Montpellier Opera until December 22.
