Elle Fanning and Timothée Chalamet continue their promo marathon on the red carpet. After shining in Los Angeles, the duo was in New York this Friday to defend the film “A Perfect Stranger”, a new biopic on the career of singer and Nobel Prize winner for literature, Bob Dylan.
On the west coast, the young 28-year-old actor had already surprised by appearing with a unique mustache but necessary for the filming of the film “Marty Supreme” which he is currently filming with Gwyneth Paltrow. To this hairiness, a new unexpected element was added: locks of a Venetian blond never seen on the actor, rather faithful to his natural brown.

Another intriguing detail: the look of the young man who was dressed in a large leather jacket, a large scarf, a checked shirt and a hat. An outfit not very suitable for the red carpet and which contrasted with that of her accomplice, Elle Fanning, who, for her part, wore a long yellow Prada dress accessorized with an imposing Cartier necklace.

If this appearance was therefore surprising in more than one way, the mystery was quickly resolved: Timothée Chalamet was in fact reproducing the look of his character, Bob Dylan, during an appearance at the Sundance festival in 2003. Hat, shirt plaid, scarf and hair color, it was all there.
The actor therefore took part in the game of “method dressing”, the marketing operation which consists of an actor dressing like his character in order to promote a film. A technique notably adopted by Margot Robbie at the time of the release of “Barbie”, or more recently by Jenna Ortega for “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice”.

More rare among men who usually prefer to stick to the classic suit, this trend had already given ideas to Timothée Chalamet in 2023 at the time of the release of “Wonka”. The actor was thus photographed in a pink costume similar to that of his character, or in a jumpsuit the same color as Wonka chocolate bars. We will now see if Bob Dylan’s “method dressing” will bring luck to the young man, already nominated for the Golden Globes for his performance and strongly anticipated for the Oscars.
