Created in 2019 under the name Empire Mali, with the aim of helping Malian artists, the platform’s activities subsequently took on an international dimension, hence the name “Empire Africa”.

For the initiator of the project, Gaoussou Chérif Haïdara, the idea is to help artists make a living from their works. According to him, the first challenge for Empire Afrique was to convince artists to tell them that what they do is important and that it is appropriate to sell it. For him, this challenge was met. The second challenge was also to convince lovers to buy their artist’s music. He believes that this bet has also been won.

Regarding the operation, for the initiator of the project, “when the artist entrusts us with their work, the platform makes the necessary configuration so that people can buy with the available payment methods.»

He adds that “When a fan wants to buy a piece of music of their choice, they put the money in their account, whether it’s Money or Moov Africa, then they go to Empire Africa and follow the purchasing process. His account is subsequently debited and he receives the title in return for the amount“. In addition to music, the Empire Afrique platform also sells literary works. In five years of activity, Empire Afrique has signed contracts with more than a hundred artists, all trends combined.

The musician Baba Salah Cissé says he is attracted by this initiative. As he has his own production studio, he managed to produce 13 singles which he compiled into an album entitled “Irkoy Albarka”, which means “Thank God”. Baba Salah specifies that for the sale of the music, a contract is offered to them, the clauses of which seem “affordable” to him.
