A mosaic of colors

Living between Marrakech and London, the world-famous artist is renowned for his colorful works, a kaleidoscope of colors where faces from all walks of life mingle in a vibrant universe entirely designed by the artist, from clothes to accessories. Integrating everyday objects and graphics, his creations evoke a universe where local elements and the global intertwine. Each work is a meticulous assemblage of disparate elements, from cans of food products to traditional accessories, to frames that add a sculptural dimension to his art.

Far from getting rid of orientalist clichés and the Western perception of the African continent, he pushes them to the extreme and further colors this exoticism to better transcend it. Combining pop influences, Moroccan traditions and contemporary aesthetics, Hassan Hajjaj manages to create a unique, colorful and daring signature. His view, both tender and critical of Moroccan society, gives his works a remarkable depth, making each creation a vibrant testimony of diversity and creativity.
