In a solemn and warm atmosphere, the media platform Albinfo.ch organized the end-of-year AlbGala evening in Zurich last night.
The event was honored by the presence of heads of diplomatic missions of Albanian countries, Albanian-Swiss politicians, as well as numerous Albanian and Swiss cultural, social and sports actors.
A certain number of personalities from the business world, partners of Albinfo.ch, who have greatly contributed to the success of the platform, also participated in the evening.
As is tradition, prizes were awarded to Personalities of the Year 2024 in six different categories, who marked the year 2024 within the Albanian community in Switzerland with their achievements.
The prize for social commitment and humanism was awarded to Valdete Hoti, a recognized humanitarian from Zurich.
For politics, the prize was awarded to Florian Haçkaj, activist and businessman, while for sport, Albinfo.ch rewarded Bekim Zogaj, internationally renowned referee.
Nazmi Mehmetaj, renowned businessman from French-speaking Switzerland and owner of the company Greenhouse, has been elected Personality of the Year 2024 in the business sector.
For culture, namely for music, the award went to the successful rap singer, Arbër Rama (EAZ).

Dr. Edin Nevzati, neurosurgeon and university professor, has been named 2024 Personality of the Year in Medicine.
The evening was hosted by the famous Kosovar presenter, Berat Miftari.
Pianist Kristina Martini and Florent Abrashi with his group, from Pristina, provided the musical atmosphere of the evening.
The event was held in the modern Letzigrund restaurant of the Kqira brothers in Zurich, who welcomed and delighted the guests with professionalism and lovingly prepared and served dishes.
