Rihanna surprises in a blue fur outfit and an XXL hat at the British Fashion Awards 2024

Monday, December 2, the annual Fashion Awards 2024 ceremony was heldpresented by Pandora and orchestrated by the British Fashion Council, at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The biggest names in fashion were there to celebrate innovation but also excellence. The celebrities present also caused a sensation on the red carpet. Enough to already give a taste of what the evening was going to be like during which Tom Ford received, in particular, the prize for exceptional achievement. Among the many stars who made the trip, we couldn't miss Rihanna and A$AP Rocky. The parents of two captivated attention on the red carpet as the rapper received the Cultural Innovation Award. Last June, off Fashion Week, the father of two organized his first fashion show in Karl Lagerfeld's former house.

In 2019 already the couple had shone on the red carpet while Rihanna was rewarded for her brand Fenty which had at the time joined the LVMH stable, the Urban Luxe prize which celebrates “innovation and influence of a brand who will have succeeded in redefining the new luxury and bringing fashion into the cultural sphere” in “elevating streetwear to a trendy high end”. She had chosen to focus on color for her outfit and did it again this year. Indeed, the singer and businesswoman appeared draped in an imposing turquoise blue fur from the fall-winter 2002-2003 couture collection from Christian Lacroix, as reported by our colleagues at the magazine Vogue. Underneath she wore a strapless black heart-shaped bodysuit and a huge XXL fur hat to match her dress. The singer completed her outfit with black opera gloves and matching pumps.

A$AP Rocky recognized for his work

A$AP Rocky, who received an award this Monday, December 2, opted for a loose suit by Bottega Venetaaccompanied by a red leather tie. Caroline Rush, chief executive of the British Fashion Council, said in a statement about the rapper's award: “From his Paris Fashion Week debut to designing Moncler's retro-futuristic The City of Genius in Shanghai, A$AP Rocky has had a resounding impact on the creative industries and popular culture this year. Through these collections and the promotion of his upcoming album 'Don't Be Dumb', he has positioned himself at the intersection of culture and innovation.”

Honored by this distinction, A$AP Rocky wanted to say a few words to his companion while he was on stage. “It's a question of time. Five years ago I was invited by my partner because she was receiving an award, when I saw her on stage, I said to myself that I could accomplish the same thing. We are there. I would like the young designers who are starting out today to believe in it because they too can achieve it.”he declared.

Other celebrities who walked the red carpet made an impression like Rita Ora who was unrecognizable with her bleached hair and eyebrows. She opted for a very well cut gray suit from her collection with Primarkaccompanied by a pink tie, very trendy this season. She also wore metal jewelry, like her many earrings but also her large bracelets that she wore on her wrists. We were also able to see the model Ashley Graham, Anna Wintour, but also Venus Williams, Pixie Lott, Julia Fox, the ex of Kanye West, and the singer Ellie Goulding to name a few.
