Some prepare their silver wedding anniversary for several weeks, looking forward to inviting family and friends to celebrate the blessed day as it should be. The King and Queen are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary on December 4. But they chose not to communicate on the subject. Apart from a few photos broadcast on the day, this event will have a resolutely private character. In any case, this Wednesday, Philippe and Mathilde will spend it partly in the company of the Sultan of Oman, who has been on a state visit to our country since the day before. On December 3, the Sovereigns will have welcomed their guest during a lunch at the royal palace in Brussels and, in the evening, a sumptuous state dinner served in the rotunda of the royal castle of Laeken with all the pomp and the pump of use. And the same day, after a visit to the port of Antwerp, all three will have been received for lunch at the Queen Elisabeth Musical Chapel in Waterloo, before the Sultan’s departure.
