CIt is with the 3 MA project (for MAroc with the oud of Driss El Maloumi, MAli with the kora of Ballaké Sissoko and MAdagascar with the valiha of Rajery), initiated by the Belgian label Contre-Jour, that the oud player 54-year-old Moroccan has formed a special bond with our country. Michel and Geneviève De Bock have this time joined forces with Brussels manager Poney Gross (from the Zig-Zag World agency) to set up a particular project, an old dream of Driss El Maloumi: a symphonic version of his musical vision. The meeting between classical oriental music and western music ultimately joins everything that the man who is also the director of the conservatory of Agadir, his hometown and who began in 2006 a long collaboration with Jordi Savall and his viola da gamba.
