On hiatus since the publication of chapter 103, Dragon Ball Super will unfortunately not return in 2024 despite fans’ hopes.
Dragon Ball Super remains on hiatus
While fans were waiting to reunite with Goku and his friends with the release of a new chapter of Dragon Ball Super, we will have to wait at least until next year. As recently announcedthe manga will still be on hiatus in the next volume of V Jump, the last of the year 2024.
The latest chapter, chapter 103was published on March 20, shortly after Akira Toriyama’s disappearance. The mangaka had also actively worked on this chapter before his death. Now that Toriyama is no more, Dragon Ball Super returns entirely to Toyotarō, who has drawn the manga since its debut in 2015.

An expected sequel
Readers have been eagerly awaiting the return of Dragon Ball Super since its untimely hiatus. The manga ended with the end of the Super Hero arc, which began with the release of the animated film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. We already know that the next chapters should tell “a new story”, as mentioned in the official website from Dragon Ball last April. But for now, we will have to wait. Don’t panic though, while Dragon Ball is more present than ever at the moment with the release last month of DRAGON BALL : Sparking! ZERO and the broadcast of Dragon Ball Daima, the new anime and the late Akira Toriyama’s final contribution to his legendary work.
