PMU forecast of the day – 4 bases for the Quinté of July 2, 2024

Hello everyone, we meet again for today’s PMU forecast with a loser and a solid base for your reduced field bets. It is the Prix Jean-Michel Bazire which will support the stakes of the Quinté on this Tuesday, July 2, 2024. It is a harness racing race which will take place on the Vichy racecourse (Meeting n°1 – Race n°7). This event, with 37,000 euros in allocations, brought together 14 starters who will compete at 6:00 p.m. on the right-hand rope course of the 2,950 meters of the pozzolan track.

FT’s favorite ❤️

Judged on his best results, Gai Matin (13) seems quite capable of taking an active part in the arrival of this Tiercé Quarté Quinté+. This resident of Guillaume Gillot’s stable has, in fact, some interesting titles to show off. We will particularly remember his 4th place acquired in the Quinté of 03/20/24, the Roger Ledoyen Prize in Lisieux. That day, he finished not far from Hoche, recent 2nd at Vincennes in the Prix Tolosa, and Invictus Madiba, then placed at Vincennes. The lot was therefore well composed. Tuesday, he will benefit from a superb engagement at the earnings ceiling and he will be driven by JMB. Prepared with the greatest care, he should logically stand out. We will therefore follow his performance with real interest.

The solid Quinté base

Better than ever, Geronimo Fire (10) seems to constitute a solid base among all the starters of this Quinté+. This horse trained by Olivier Raffin has just, in fact, signed the best performance of his career by winning a pmu race on the Angers racecourse. That day, he took the lead one lap from the finish before countering all the attacks in the straight. Note that he completed his last 500 meters in 1’08, an excellent time. Having had three weeks to recover from his efforts, he will be in great shape for this race and, barring any incident, he should succeed in securing one of the first five places at the finish of this tiercé. Punters who like to play in a reduced field will therefore be able to rely on his candidacy without taking too many risks.

The best PMU loser of the day

Alternating between good and bad, Granite of Fresne (12) seems to be the right outsider of this Quinté. This protégé of Laurent Laudren is not, in fact, a model of regularity but he sometimes achieves good values. This was the case at Vincennes at the end of March with Eric Raffin when he finished 2nd behind Hold Up Ranais. We will also remember his 3rd place acquired previously at Bordeaux behind Indy Dark and Harry Carisaie, two top horses. Judged on what he has achieved best, he could therefore perfectly display a big odds at the finish of this race.

The outsider poker move of the day

Gavroche of Iton (5) had run well on May 27 on this Vichy track. That day, this protégé of Hugues Levesque finished in 4th place in a PMU race won by Héros d’Yvel, a trotter from the Cormy stable who had just won the Quinté of 05/13/24, the Prix de Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule. That day, he had made a fine final effort along the rope after having hugged the walls (1’10 for his last 500 metres). His performance was therefore very good and he proved, on this occasion, his aptitude for the course. He then largely confirmed his form in the provinces. He is also coming off a pleasant victory at the Amiens racecourse. He will therefore be in perfect physical condition this Tuesday and, if Bruno Beaucamp follows the good backs, he could play the party pooper at the finish of this quinté. Punters looking for a speculative outsider or a poker move will therefore be able to take an interest in his candidacy.

Other essential horses to follow

Well known to punters in the west of France, Winner (7) is a waiter who needs to be brought back to the exit of the final bend to give his full measure. The long finish line of the Vichy racecourse will therefore serve his interests this Tuesday and, if Fabien Gence follows the good backs, he should fight for the places or even better.

Daughter of Sita (4) has no margin at this level but he is a consistent horse who has proven himself on the right-handed racecourses of the South-West. In addition, he has just proven his form by winning a race on the Agen track. In theory, he therefore has his place in this eight-horse PMU forecast.

Behind these 6 competitors, it’s more dense. We will nevertheless monitor Falko de Nouville (11)a horse with no margin who could complete the winning Quinté. Glycina Bella (6) was very disappointing at Pontchâteau. Although she has not been in good form, this student of Jean-Paul Marmion could remind punters of her good memories.

The last minute in case of non-starter

Boitron’s Genet (9) would have a chance if he was in good shape but he is currently going through a bad patch. In these conditions, keeping him or not in a selection will mainly be a matter of impression. Nevertheless, do not hesitate to slip him on your gambling ticket as a supplementary horse.

PMU bets available on this race

There are 7 horse racing bets on this main race with a strategy and level of difficulty that vary depending on the number of winning numbers to find: the single game, the couple, the multi, the 2sur4, the tiercé, the quarté and the quinté+. Be careful, if you play on the internet, you will find the same games on the PMU website with identical rules but they will have a slightly different name: e.simple, e.couple, e.multi, e.2sur4, e.tiercé, e-quarté, e.quinté+. On the other hand, the winnings will not be the same. Indeed, since December 2015, the PMU has been obliged to separate its stake pools. Bettors playing online (pmu.fr) therefore benefit from different reports from those playing at PMU points of sale (Pari Mutuel Urbain), namely pmu fdj bars-tabac-presses and racecourses.

How much will your game cost at PMU?

It is important to set a budget that you do not exceed when betting on horse racing. You must therefore have a good strategy and know the amount of your combination well, otherwise you risk exceeding the amount you had set for yourself. When you play in a single formula, it is very simple to calculate the price of your ticket because you just need to have in mind the basic stake of your horse racing bet. On the other hand, things get complicated if you want to play in a combined formula. Find below the prices of your games in a combined formula (from 3 to 9 horses associated). The amounts are indicated according to the basic stake for each horse racing bet.

About the author, Anthony Prioux

Born in Saint-Nazaire in Loire-Atlantique (44), a department with many racecourses, I have been passionate about horse racing since adolescence. I actually started to take an interest in horse racing when I was in high school. This passion for horse racing has never left me and, over the years, I have acquired real expertise in this field. It was therefore quite natural that in 2010, I started to offer my PMU forecasts on the internet. I then created the Fréquence Turf website in 2013. Every day, I offer my free analysis of the Quinté+ race and my free forecast in eight horses with a big-odds outsider and a solid basis for your reduced-field bets. It is also possible to receive my forecasts for trotting races by email by subscribing to the horse of the day.
