L’2024 edition of Art’Zimutés ended on Saturday June 29with one last crazy night. One of the organizers of this meeting organized on the green beach from Cherbourg (Manche), Benjamin Flambard, draws up his with of this “superb edition” of the festival who celebrated his 25e birthday.

A birthday during which guests responded to the call, with ” more than 10,000 people welcomed on the week: the symbolic figure has been reached!”

The weather forecast

An influx which “greatly relieved the technicians and the volunteers“Everyone ends up exhausted but happy,” admits Benjamin.

Financially all the lights are also green:

We needed 3,800 paying people per evening, and it’s done.

The Ticketingalone made it possible to release 180,000 to 200,000 euros . It must be said that the organization was able to count on an important factor: “The weather report was with us. Many people came infamily and early, as soon as it opens, to enjoy the green beach.

One of the many positives of the edition.

Festival-goers were present from the opening of the site. It was wonderful !

Headliners at the rendezvous

At the beginning of last week, the organization was cautious until D-Day, even if it “saw that there was craze since the month of Januarywith the announcement of first headliners ».

Headliners that Benjamin Flambard really liked:

They were all there and gave us a magnificent show.

Among the many and varied artistic proposalsthe Cotentinois “perhaps preferred that of Judgitzu, who gave us a thunderous, very powerful set”.

The acoustic musician closed the evening at the Dry Dock on Saturday by taking the spectators on a journey with its African, Oceanian and even Asian sounds.

Some “easy to improve” downsides

If the edition sounds like a great success the organizer has spotted some Areas for improvement for the next editions. He first found “the site closure a little fast SATURDAY».

As soon as Vitalic’s performance was over, the teams had to escort the festival-goers to the exit fairly quickly, “too quickly,” according to Benjamin Flambard. He would like to 2025“to allow more time for spectators to have a last drink together if they wish before leaving.”

Another logistics point:

The number of dry toilets will need to be increased. We saw queues forming quite quickly in the evenings, we will have to streamline this.

Andwelcoming comfortto review, in terms of detail because “it’s easy for us to improve. As soon as the site was closed, we were already doing feedback on the experience and it was quickly raised,” he admits.

The whole team says they are “already looking towards next year”, excited to get back on track.

In detail, 2,000 festival-goers came from Tuesday to Thursday, while the evenings of Friday and Saturday attracted 4,600 and 4,200 people respectively.
