“All glory to you, Lord Jesus! »: these are the words that Juan Luis Guerra shared, on his social networks, his joy at having won four Latin Grammy Awards on November 14 in Miami. He notably won the award for best album thanks to “Radio Güira”. The most awarded artist of this 25th edition, the 67-year-old Dominican singer stressed that “the idea for the album came from Jesus, entirely from Jesus”. Indeed, in this EP without vulgarities, we find some biblical references, notably to John 3, 16 but also to the Song of Songs, in a composition imbued with quite chaste sensuality. After 40 years of career, Juan Luis Guerra has already won 28 Latin Grammy Awards. He is the second most awarded artist in the history of this ceremony, just behind the rapper Residente and his 29 awards.
