Calvin Harris, Adam, Angélique Kidjo close the 19th edition

After a week of festivities, the Mawazine Rythmes du Monde Festival ended on Saturday evening, with a memorable concert by the famous DJ Calvin Harris, one of the highlights of the closing day.

The most beautiful things come to an end. The Mawazine Rythmes du Monde Festival, a true highlight of the cultural and artistic life of the capital, closed its 19th edition in apotheosis, Saturday evening, with a rich program combining excellence, thrills, wild rhythms and great emotions. Thus the public was invited, during this last evening, to the concert of the famous British DJ, composer and music producer Calvin Harris at OLM Souissi. Preceded by the American DJ and remixer MK, who opened the concert, Calvin Harris transformed the turntables into a real instrument of musical creation, orchestrating a show which combines electronic music, light shows and pyrotechnic effects. Known for his collaborations with the biggest names in the music industry such as Rihanna, Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams and Kylie Minogue, this electro dance music (EDM) virtuoso made this moment a truly universal celebration of music.

Calvin Harris performed a set that included his biggest hits and collaborations, including “We Found Love,” “Summer,” “How Deep is your Love,” “Feels,” and his iconic hit “This is What You Came for,” which became a global smash. For his part, the Lebanese singer Adam ignited the Mohammed V Theater where he presented his old and new repertoire taking the audience on a unique sensory journey. Since her debut in the 1980s, she has conquered the world with a unique musical style mixing traditional African rhythms with funk, jazz and pop influences. She has also won numerous prestigious awards, including several Grammy Awards, and continues to captivate audiences around the world with her vibrant and inspiring music. Once again, the 19th edition of the Mawazine festival was a world tour in 9 days.
