Participating in Partir en livre, on July 6, is part of the desire of the association le village de l’Ours plume to offer its members the chance to experience a highlight of the cultural year. This event has been offered by the National Book Center (CNL) under the leadership of the Ministry of Culture since 2015. It is the first event that promotes the pleasure of reading among young people, throughout the territory.
Unique in its kind, Partir en livre takes books off the shelves to meet young audiences in their leisure places and times, in order to transmit the pleasure of reading to all audiences. Several thousand initiatives are supported: meetings with authors, literary attractions, immersive readings, illustration and writing workshops, drawn concerts, creation of a “booktube”, manga workshop, beach libraries, book hunts… and thousands of Chèques lire offered.
Preparation from June
And in the village of the Feather Bear, preparation began in June. Nine primary classes from Bourgneuf and Sainte-Soulle were welcomed throughout the month with writing and expression workshops on the theme of sport and games. Relays, in particular childminders with the children they look after, also took place.
July 6 will be the consecration of an event which was successful in 2023. And if this success is due to the commitment of the Ours plume volunteers, they would like to point out that Partir en livre is organized with the support of the town halls of Bourgneuf and Sainte-Soulle as well as the National Book Center.
