Qfour groups from the new scene and nine DJs. Quite a program for the first festival “Les Boissomnies” which offers a rich program from Friday July 5 to Saturday July 7 (read box), a festival which chooses to take place over three days on a bucolic site in Esse.

This festival will allow us to discover young artists who are still too little known to the public.

“This festival is an experience for the association that we created especially for this event. We regularly meet groups of musicians and if we are not ourselves, we decided to put music to events. The first will therefore be the festival – bearing the name of the association – “Les Boissomnies” in Esse, a town where I have my family ties”, explains César Forbin, president of the association with around ten young people, mainly students, some of whom formed ties a few years ago with the scouts and now strengthen them around music.

“Young artists”

The merry band of organizers chose to name the festival “Boissomnies”, a double nod to the location of the festival, at the place called “La Boissonnie” on the D82 between Esse and Saint-Germain-de-Confolens, and to the inevitable insomnia of the nights that are announced with eclectic live and electronic music.

“This festival will allow us to discover young artists who are still too little known to the public,” explains César Forbin, who is in the midst of preparing this “techno-bohemian and electro-rustic” festival with Alice Magne, vice-president of the association and Jeanne Magne, head of the sponsors committee.
