Marionnettissimo Festival
All weekend long, lovers of puppets and performing arts can meet up with the Marionnettissimo festival. 17 regional, national and international companies will give around sixty performances in 25 locations in Tournefeuille and Toulouse as well as in nine partner towns in Haute-Garonne (Blagnac, Castanet-Tolosan, Labarthe-sur-Lèze, Launaguet, Martres-Tolosane, Mondonville, Merville, Poucharramet and Villeneuve-Tolosane). This 27th edition is marked by the arrival of Vanina Montiel, new artistic director. On the program, shows for adults, for families but also workshops, professional meetings, festive evenings, exhibitions and surprises… Without forgetting, Saturday evening, at the Escale de Tournefeuille, the Mario’Night with karaoke crazy puppetry and DJ sets to dance the night away…
The Toulouse Chamber Orchestra regularly offers concerts where the spectators choose the program by raising their hands. A particularly popular formula because it creates direct interaction between musicians and spectators. The program is presented as a menu which gives an anthology of composers, each more famous than the last. The soloist comments on the works, then invites the audience to shout the names of the pieces they want to hear. Orders are placed like in an open outcry market. The musicians then adapt their program in real time, playing the most requested pieces.

The La Cité Créative association returns all weekend to the lobby of the Théâtre de la Cité to highlight local and responsible creators during a market ideal for preparing Christmas gifts. 27 creators (jewelry, ceramics, illustration, textiles) will be present and will also offer workshops in which children and adults can practice creating on their own (embroidery, origami, lynoengraving and making organic herbal tea).

Lands from Elsewhere Festival
Between science, exploration, art and literature, the Terres d’ailleurs festival, organized by the Muséum de Toulouse and the Délires d’encre association, is an invitation to discovery for nature lovers, science enthusiasts, or simply for those looking for inspiration, ready to explore, learn and commit to a more sustainable future. Until November 24, scientists, writers, artists and documentarians will be there to present their views and their experiences through a program of conferences, screenings, round tables, workshops. On this occasion, the Terres d’ailleurs Literary Prize will reward a story of travel, adventure or exploration. The jury is chaired by Olivier Bleys, writer and member of the Society of French Explorers.
The International School of Manga and Animation (EIMA), in collaboration with the Musée des Arts Précieux Paul-Dupuy, is offering an exhibition combining art, history and manga. All weekend, “Correspondances de Poilus” invites the public to discover works created by EIMA students, inspired by letters written from the front by Fine Arts students during the First World War. From the exceptional archives kept at the Paul-Dupuy museum, students Max Wirbel and Maxime Barle, from the specialized Manga 2 class, imagined graphic stories. By offering a graphic rereading of these correspondences, the exhibition highlights the exchange between history and contemporary art. From 11 years old.
