The jury of the Angoulême International Comics Festival, which will take place from January 30 to February 2, 2025, has selected among the official selection of its 52e edition, unveiled Thursday in Paris, tomato noodles, last volume of the trilogy Madeleine, resistant, dedicated to the communist activist, war reporter and journalist at Humanity.
This third part of the saga, produced by the tandem Jean-David Morvan (author) and Dominique Bertail (drawing), published by Dupuis, is inspired by the war memories of this combat figure who died on November 6 and returns with precision to the tortures endured in Vichy and Nazi jails during the Occupation.
The book Tomato Noodles was published on August 23, Madeleine Riffaud’s 100th birthday. A date chosen in tribute to this woman, now celebrated by the largest comic book festival in the world, whose funeral took place this Wednesday, November 20.
