The story of a musical athlete in Alvignac

For the 8e edition, the Resurgence festival – Sportive Attitude explores the link between contemporary art and sport, inspired by Roger Couderc, famous sports commentator from Souillac. The show “Super G, autobiography of a musical athlete” is presented in this context on Saturday November 23 at 8:30 p.m. at the Espace Samayou in Alvignac.

Super G, one show designed and performed by Maxence Doussottells the story of a man whose life has been marked by competition. As a child, pushed and coached by his father, Maxence discovered very early the taste for surpassing himself and sporting values. For nearly 20 years, he built himself around these principles, going so far as to consider a professional career. He decides to abandon everything to follow another passion: rock’n’roll.

When Maxence learns that drumming is going to be recognized as a new Olympic discipline, he sees an unexpected opportunity. Determined to seize this second chance, he trains to become the first Olympic drum champion in history.

Super G received the 2024 label as part of the Cultural Olympiad, highlighting its unique link between art, music and sport.
