The Comptoir des Mines gallery in Marrakech is preparing to welcome five emerging artists revealing their first exhibition from November 23.
Five artists unveil their first individual exhibition at the Comptoir des Mines Galerie in Marrakech. They are the winners of the support program for emerging creation (Majaz II), organized by the same gallery. Thus, the public discovers the universe of Krim Baraka. He invites us to explore “the Self and the Other”, addressing the questioning of the existence and the place of men in so-called peripheral social environments, relying on materials specific to his native land. Laureate of the Tetouan Institute of Fine Arts in 2015, this visual artist has participated in various group exhibitions, demonstrating remarkable artistic versatility by exploring several artistic mediums: drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, photography and video. Art lovers recognize the work of Ilias El Haddaoui.
This speaks of evolution and metamorphosis as a visual demonstration of the theories of evolution, reflecting on the place of man as a living being, a mirror game between humans and the animal world. Ilias is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose journey is marked by the exploration and understanding of the relationship between humanity and the animal kingdom. Don’t miss the world of Amina Azreg. His work is part of a surrealist painting as a metaphorical quest to immerse us in a world depicting an intriguing reality at the crossroads of dream and reflection.
A native of Casablanca, a city that has had a profound impact on her art and imagination, this artist began her artistic path in the world of fashion before devoting herself to painting and installation which became her favorite mediums. The exhibition also features the artist Aymane Errachidi. He shares his fascination with the austere and the mineral, a work deeply anchored in the reminiscence of the landscapes of his childhood glimpsed in Laayoune, where the poetry of the desert is also visual. Do not forget the multidisciplinary artist Safae El Kadi who is part of the artistic philosophy of support/surface.
She reveals the hidden depths of objects, immersing herself in the elements and contradictory properties of materials. His academic career, punctuated by obtaining his diploma from the National Institute of Fine Arts of Tetouan in 2021 and a master’s degree in documentary cinema in 2023, nourishes his artistic expression.
