Toni Storm has announced her departure from professional wrestling.
An announcement she made in an interview for SBNation today, in which the former champion declares that AEW no longer needs her. Toni Storm has been absent from AEW since losing the AEW Women’s Title to Mariah May at AEW All In 2024. She then had matches in CMLL and Stardom, but also lost.
Today, she says this about these recent defeats and her departure:
”I’m not used to being a loser. I failed at everything. I lost in AEW, I lost in Japan, I lost in Mexico. This is the last time you will hear from me. Enjoy Mariah May as champion. You can all benefit from it. AEW is doing just fine without me. Everything is going well for AEW. They don’t need Toni Storm.”
And she ends with her catchphrase by saying not to pay attention to your shoe anymore:
”Drop your chin, tuck your breasts in, don’t bother watching the shoe.”

Not to be forgotten is that Mariah May and Mina Shirakwa are going to host a celebration of May’s reign during AEW Full Gear 2024.
