Glénat acquires the rights to the manga Ruridragon, November 19, 2024

It’s a nice piece that the editions Glenat Manga have just announced during their new live twitch: the French publication of Ruridragonone of the new successes of the Jump stable from Shûeisha editions!

This is the first series of Masaoki Shindôa mangaka who has previously written a few short stories for the Jump stable since its debut in 2016. The start of the work in Japan was not easy: launched in the Shônen Jump magazine in June 2022, it was paused the following month due to the author’s health problems, before resuming in February 2024, then moving to the digital version of the magazine and on the Shônen Jump+ site in April 2024. However, the good reception of the series has not diminished, since each of its first two volumes was ranked among the best sellers in the Oricon weekly top.

On the program for this slice of life, the adventures of a young teenager who learns that her father was a dragon, with all that this could imply for her when she returns to school… notably the horns which grow on her head !

The first volume will arrive in duringsummer 2025.

Synopsis :

High school student Ruri Aoki wakes up one morning with horns on her head! According to her mother, she probably got it from her father who is actually… a dragon?! Despite this unexpected situation, Ruri goes to high school… Obviously, the appearance of these horns attracts the attention of her classmates, but that’s not all: Ruri discovers other dragon attributes! Ruri’s daily life is about to experience many upheavals!
