Liam Gallagher backtracked on his promise of a new Oasis album: it was a joke, did he write about X. True or false?
Fans of the iconic Britpop group were delighted to learn that the band would be reforming in 2025 to begin touring. They were then sent into a frenzy when Liam Gallagher, 52, claimed a new album had been recorded.
However, the singer – who co-founded Oasis with his brother Noel Gallagher, 57 – walked back his comments and said he was only joking.
On X this weekend, Liam Gallagher attacked a rumor which claimed that the brothers were “working intensively on the new Oasis album”. The musician wrote: “Let’s calm down, that’s all”.
“There’s no Oasis album in the works, I was joking, I remember that and the reason is everyone’s a bit uptight these days. I’m sorry if I upset anyone, but damn, it was just for fun,” he added.
